This SERVICE is provided by Ryland Lueders at no cost, with some optional paid enhancements, and is intended for use as is.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding my policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decides to use my Service.

If you choose to use my Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that I collect is used for providing and improving the Service. I will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection and Use

MTB Hangtime collects location data to enable the mapping (a.k.a. ride saving) feature of the app. This data is only collected after the user clicks the START RIDE button and stops when the user clicks the END RIDE button. MTB Hangtime will continue to collect even when the app is in the background — for example if you switch from MTB Hangtime to the camera app to take pictures. The app will never collect location data after the END RIDE button is pressed. The mapping (ride-saving) feature is the only feature of the app that uses background location.

Service Providers

I may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons:

• To facilitate our Service;
• To provide the Service on our behalf;
• To perform Service-related services; or
• To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

These third parties have access to your Personal Information to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. They are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.

Security

I value your trust in providing your Personal Information, and I strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and I cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Data Retention and Deletion

I retain your Personal Information only for as long as it is needed to provide the Service to you, or as required to comply with legal obligations.

• Account Information (email, name, profile data): retained for the lifetime of your account. When you delete your account, this information is permanently removed within 30 days.
• Activity Data (rides, sensor recordings, GPS tracks, video overlays, and other ride-related content): retained for the lifetime of your account, or until you delete the individual activity from within the app. Deleted activities are removed from active storage immediately and from backups within 30 days.
• Crash and Diagnostic Logs (collected via Firebase Crashlytics): retained for up to 90 days, after which they are automatically deleted.
• Analytics Data (collected via Firebase Analytics): retained for up to 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted.
• Location Data: collected only between START RIDE and END RIDE as described above, and stored as part of the Activity Data retention policy.

You can delete your account and all associated personal data at any time directly from within the app, on the account settings screen. Once your account is deleted, your personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. financial records related to in-app purchases, retained for the period required by applicable tax and accounting regulations).

This Service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. These external sites are not operated by me. I strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of any websites you visit. I have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Children's Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If I discover that a child under 13 has provided me with personal information, I immediately delete it. Parents or guardians who are aware that their child has provided us with personal information should contact me so I can take the necessary action.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes will be posted here.
